WHAT is the BRT?
The Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (LA Metro) is advancing its Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) project to connect North Hollywood to Pasadena, with plans to reduce Olive Avenue in Burbank to one vehicle lane per direction to accommodate a dedicated bus lane, aiming for completion by the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics. This proposal has raised significant concerns among Burbank residents about increased traffic congestion, safety risks, reduced parking, and negative impacts on local businesses.
(Imagine a Raising Cane’s traffic situation.... except it will be forever)
BUT there is still hope...
The Burbank City Council has voted twice for Mixed Flow until daily ridership reaches 17,000, yet several council members have made public statements that indicated they may change their vote. Residents must urge the Council to support Mixed Flow. A minimum of three out of five Council Members must reiterate their vote for Mixed Flow to protect Burbank.
WHEN will City Council discuss BRT again?
Stand bye, this is coming to council soon! It is crucial that you register to get e-mail and text updates! We know that LA Metro is in a rush to start. That is why you must scan the code to stay connected!!
HOW will the City Council Members (likely) vote? Mixed Flow? or Dedicated Lane?

We strongly encourage all members of the community to attend City Council at any time to voice your opinion of the BRT project.
PLEASE E-MAIL THE COUNCIL RGHT NOW and tell them your opinion at CityCouncil@burbankca.gov
